2019-2020 Social Work Graduate

Erin Nicole Christensen

Master's in Social Work

What is your favorite thing about BYU?

I loved the freedom of spiritual expression in lectures and implementing gospel principles into the social work field. BYU gave me the opportunity to challenge myself academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually, and I am a better disciple of Christ because of that. The vending machines in the basement of the JFSB also saved my life.

Who would you like to say thanks to?

My incredible professors and peers in my cohort who taught me so much about God's role in social work, and helped me see strengths within myself I didn't know I had. My parents and family for supporting me and my decision to attend graduate school, and specifically my mother for listening me to cry when I had several meltdowns.

What are your plans for after BYU?

Take lots of naps, and start my career as a therapist for adolescent girls.
