2019-2020 Social Work Graduate

Savannah Park Anderson

Master's in Social Work

What is your favorite thing about BYU?

My classmates, my cohort. I spent majority of my time at BYU with the same 40 people, and I am exceptionally grateful for them and for our professors. They made experience, to be honest. BYU is a wonderful university, but I think what makes it so wonderful is the people you interact with. The university has hired excellent professors, and recruited incredible individuals to be apart of my social work program.

Who would you like to say thanks to?

Charlene Clark. Having worked very closely with her over the past two years, I recognize the importance she plays in keeping our department functioning at the highest level. She seems to be the glue that holds everything together. I am grateful for her and the person she is. I aspire to be like her when I grow up.

What are your plans for after BYU?

Work as an administrative manager in healthcare clinics where I hope to advocate for our employees and patients to improve care and conditions. I will be working to increase access to health care for those with barriers, I will do crisis management and case management, I will perform financial counseling and consultations with the health care services our clinic offers.
